Ms. Nazneen Sultana has been serving as Executive Vice Chairman of Grameen Communications since the organization's inception in 1997, initially as Managing Director. Her leadership at Grameen Communications has been instrumental in pioneering ICT initiatives for remote villages and developing the world's first complete micro banking software, which is now utilized by most microfinance organizations including Grameen Bank. Having completed her BS and MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, she began her career at Grameen Bank where she established the ICT wing of the institution, later enhancing her expertise with a diploma in Management Information Systems from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. With over 30 years of experience in the IT field, Ms. Sultana has served as Director of various IT companies including Accenture Bangladesh, and has been actively involved in the formation of social business companies such as Grameen Euglena, where she currently serves as Country Manager for Euglena Corporation Japan's liaison office in Bangladesh. Her commitment to social development extends through her executive membership in NGOs focused on gender issues, affordable healthcare for the poor, women empowerment, and ICT for development, as well as her role as Trustee of Grameen Telecom Trust. Through her multifaceted roles, Ms. Sultana continues to champion the integration of technology with social welfare initiatives, driving innovation in microfinance, telecommunications, and community development across Bangladesh.
