On Thursday, 12 January, 2017 Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) participated at the 459th Social Business Design Lab (open session) held at Grameen Bank Auditorium organized by Yunus Centre. The chair of the event, Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the event followed by welcome greetings and GTT’s year end activities from Ms. Parveen Mahmud FCA (Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust). Following her presentation was the official launching of the e-commerce website of Grameen Poshra inaugurated by Prof. Muhammad Yunus.
Two (2) female Nobin Udyokta-NU (New Entrepreneur) of GTT presented their business proposals at the Design Lab. Ms. Kahinoor Begum from Mithapukur, Rangpur shared her struggles to entrepreneurship and how she has achieved to run a tailoring business successfully for the past two years. Ms. Rani Begum also from Mithapukur, Rangpur got married at the age of thirteen yet she did not choose to stop dream and work hard. Teaming up with her husband she is running a tailoring and clothing store for the past four years. This is the 175th batch of NU of GTT.
