A three-day training program was organized by Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) at its Social Business Learning Center (SBLC) on April 4 - 6, 2019 to train the Nobin Program field officers on topics covering Social Business, its principles and scopes, entrepreneurship development, preparation of project proposal, presentation in design lab and so on. The training was inaugurated by Ms. Parveen Mahmud, Managing Director, GTT and was conducted by Mr. Sultan Ahmed Bhuiyan, CFO, GTT; Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu, Team Leader, Social Business (SB); Mr. K. M. Saleheen, Senior Manager, SB; Ms. Kazi Shaila Sharmin, Acting Head of HR; Mr. Md. Kamrul Islam, Senior Manager, F/A and other Panel Officers. Nineteen officers, ten unit incharges, and one area manager participated in the training.
In the inaugural speech, Ms. Mahmud congratulated the field level officers for their effort to establish Social Business as an economically sustainable and replicable model. She also envisioned that the horizon of Social Business will be much larger than that of microfinance in the near future.
The trainees sit for an evaluation test and received certificates at the end of the training program.
