Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) celebrated International Women’s Day 2019 with its employees and guests at the Social Business Learning Centre (SBLC). This year UN’s slogan for International Women’s Day is: “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change.” and theme is: Balance for Better.

Ms. Parveen Mahmud, Managing Director, GTT, in her opening remark, thanked the women colleagues and officers for their contribution and advised all to appreciate the role that women play every day. Mr. Md. Ashraful Hassan, Chief Executive Officer, GTT, shared his life stories and experiences of how his creation of several Grameen Companies are impacting the lives of women.

Ms. Kazi Shaila Sharmin, Sr. Manager, F/A and Acting Head of HR, GTT, in her speech, shared her thoughts on how women struggle in their day to day life. Tasfia Binte Shafiq, Assistant Officer, HR and Admin and Adiba Tarannum, Officer, PID entertained the colleagues and guests with two songs, while Ms. Farjana Rafiq, Sr. Manager, Admin & HR, Grameen Telecom entertained with her captivating poetry recitation. The program ended with cake-cutting and photo session.
