Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) is a steadfast supporter and promoter of social business initiatives. Its focus is to revive rural crafts and cottage industries: hand loom and power loom fabrics, khadi, grameen check, silk, andi, readymade garments, pottery, jute and leather products etc. With this objective, Grameen Telecom Trust invested in Grameen Shamogree Uttaranchal Ltd. The main goal is to create market linkages to sell products produced in the villages and create sustainable income opportunities for the producers. The products are branded as ‘Grameen Poshra’.
