On Monday, 27 March, 2017 Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT) participated at the 531st Social Business Design Lab (open session) held at Grameen Bank Auditorium organized by Yunus Centre. The chair of the event, Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the event followed by GTT social business report presentation by Ms. Parveen Mahmud (Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust). Following was a video documentary on women empowerment through GTT’s program, which was shown at the event, made by the in-house communication team of GTT.
One (1) NobinUdyokta-NU (New Entrepreneur) of GTT presented her business proposal at the Design Lab. Ms. Sultana Razia is a single parent and dreams to be one of the most successful entrepreneur in the clothing industry. She was highly admired by the crowd for her character strength, how she survived her divorce and chose not to give in to the taunts of the society. She is the first women entrepreneur in her area who owns a shop in the market and overcoming many obstacles she in running her business smoothly. Her proposal was accepted at the design lab.
The book “Employers vs Employees Mindset” authored by Mr. Manjur Ahmed (Head of HR & Admin, Grameen Telecom Trust) was also launched at the event presided by Prof. Mohammad Yunus.
